A lot of contractors just show up eventually, do the job, and leave, never to be seen again. We take the time to understand what you need, walk you through the process, and make sure you understand and feel confident about the work being done.
We don’t cut corners or do “good enough” work. Whether it’s a small repair or a full-scale project, we make sure everything is done safely, efficiently, and built to last.
No one likes dealing with no-shows or getting the runaround. We show up when we say we will, communicate clearly, and make the whole process as smooth and stress-free as possible.
We offer generator interlock installations, energy-efficient upgrades, and custom electrical solutions that genuinely improve your home or business—without the upsell. If something isn’t necessary, we’ll tell you. We don’t believe in scare tactics or pushing services you don’t need.
Residential – We provide trusted electrical services for upgrades, repairs, and generator interlock installations. With clear communication, quality work, and long-term solutions, we keep your home safe and efficient.
Commercial – You need efficient, code-compliant electrical work with minimal downtime. Dependability and professionalism are key to keeping your operations running smoothly.
Hailing from Massachusetts, Marshfield Electric owner Rob Thomas, began his career as a union carpenter in Boston in the early 2000s. In 2007, after moving to Hawaii, he decided to pursue a career in electrical work, starting his apprenticeship in Honolulu while attending electrical trade school. Through hands-on experience and formal training, he completed the program and earned his Hawaii Electrical License.
In 2014, Rob moved back to the East Coast, working in Boston as a Journeyman and Foreman for several commercial electrical firms in Local 103. The following year, he purchased his home in Marshfield, where he laid down roots with his family.
When the pandemic halted construction in 2020, Rob saw an opportunity to build something of his own. What started as small electrical jobs quickly grew through word-of-mouth and community involvement, leading to the creation of Marshfield Electric.
As the company expanded, so did the team. In 2022, Nestor Matute joined as a third-year apprentice and has since become a licensed Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician. In Summer 2024, Gabriel Wilbur became the newest team member and is currently enrolled in apprenticeship school.
Today, Marshfield Electric proudly serves homeowners, businesses, and contractors throughout the region, providing high-quality electrical work with a focus on safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
